My journey began during my sophomore year of college while I was majoring in Psychology. I felt as though Psychology was not fulfilling as I thought it would be and began my search in different fields on campus. I came across a “Social Work 101” class and decided to try it out. The stars aligned for me after this class and I knew social work was everything I was searching for in psychology. From then on, I was so invested in the field and in my coursework that after I received my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) I went on to earn my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Nevada-Reno.

I have ventured into various fields as a social worker, however I am currently a school social worker and loving it. My experience in my practicums, internships, and jobs have led me to where I am today and I have learned A LOT along the way. I am very passionate about helping others, which is why I am excited to help other professionals with this blog.
